When I go to the Tombstone Transcriptions Project and click on a certain state and then a certain county in that state I see no way to search for a certain name. How does that site work?

One thing I forgot to include in my look up request. There were two Lanson Lakes, of a very similar age in upstate NY. One lived in Cazenovia and died in a fire there in the late 1800's. THIS IS NOT MY Lanson Lake who came back to NY from Ohio in 1850 and settled in Oswego, Oswego. I found him in the NY State census of 1865 Federal Censuses of 1850, 1860, 1870 and he disappeared. Thanks BB

CORRECTION. The Lanson Lake in Cazenovia ran an hotel there and died in the late 1850's when the hotel burnt down. BB
