Still being hit by Frances, but on it's back side. Which is mostly rains and winds. Went outside early this morning around 4:00am and saw some panels of my aluminum shed lying on the ground. Had to tie up two papaya trees with electrical cards, I ran out of rope. Can/t see outside because of the hurricane shutters covering all the windows. Tired of playing board games. Power went out for about 5 minutes only so far. Winds right now are picking up a bit.

Frances sure is being a pain because of the speed. We have had some pretty good gusts, but still far enough away that we are getting the outer bands. We have some trees down but so far nothing major It is going to exit the state and go over right over the top of me so I still have things to look forward too. Howard & all FL residents --- stay safe. Will let you know how I make out later, sure am keeping my fingers crossed

Count your blessings.......here in CA it is only as low as $2.03 that I have seen. And that was in Los Angeles. Central Ca is about $2.11 if you really look hard, otherwise it is $2.17+.

We have it a bit cheaper in the San Joaquin Valley. Got gas for $1.95.9 last time, but often the next trip will find that the price has gone up overnight.
San Francisco is the highest I have seen. I travel to SF with a full tank if possible.
