Just another note of thanks for looking up this information for me. Now, if only I could crack the mystery surrounding the natural parents of my great grandfather, James Marion HEEDLEY and his siter Mary HEEDLEY. A great aunt of mine said that she would send me a photocopy of James Marion's death certificate. Am hoping there will be some caluable information on it that I can use. Thanks again.

Bets: I really appreciate tha bit of information. Just hope now that I can move that brick wall back a little further. At least I have more piece of the puzzle to add in. Did find the 1860 AL census but didn't find the name of the people I was looking for. However, I was looking in the Saint Clair County census rolls. Good reason for not finding them, huh? LOL. Thanks again. I really appreciate you.

Just re-checked the 1880 AL Census and noticed that both Joseph WOODELL and his wife Terrissa F. ? WOODELL were 36 years old when the census was taken. I noted that Joseph's father was born in TN and his mother in AL. Terrissa's father and mother were born in NC. Does anyone have and information on any NC WOODELLs? bdorsett801@msn.com

To anyone doing research in AL, GA, TN, KY, SC, NC and WV and VA please keep your eyes open for any information about Joseph and Terrissa WOODELL/WOODALL who were the people who my great grandfather and great aunt were living with in the 1880 AL census. Any help would be greatly appreciated. bdorsett801@msn.com

Am going to call one of them tomorrow. He spent a good deal of time in the Army, and served in both WWII and Korea. So in honor of this uncle I am posting his ggrandfather. Hiram VAN FLEET b 1839 NY served in the army as did his father Dubois VAN FLEET during the AR. Dubois was born 1 June 1806 in Oswego,Cayuga, NY. parents still unknown
