Have you checked out the SS Death Index on Angie MONTANA? Also, there are some excellent lists for Htfd.,CT through Rootsweb. You can join either the Digest Mode or List Mode (Digest just condenses everything down). Then once you get a post, you can post a query on there regarding Angie. I have had great success using either town lists or state lists..you could just join a CT list for that matter. Good Luck, CDMOM!!

I meet the brick wall when trying to find the parents of James Marion HEEDLEY who was my great grandfather. Thanks for your efforts though. If you have relatives in the southeastern US during the 1830s and 1840s, just keep an eye out for any HEEDLEYs also may have been spelled HEADLEY. bdorsett801@msn.com

Good afternoon all. I have really busy all day and just now had the time to stop by. I don't really have the time to tarry here, but will be checking back from time to time.
I really would appreciate any help I could get on the Joseph WOODELL/WOODALL family as they were the ones who apparently took my great grandfather, James Marion HEEDLEY and his sister Mary HEEDLEY in when they were children. I would just like to know who their natural parents were and what happened to them. I do not have much information to go on other than they would have been born about 1840. Unfortunately, I do not know if they were from AL or not only that their children James and Mary HEEDLEY were born there. If anyone can find any other information on them, I would greatly appreciate receiving it. In addition, I do know that the WOODELL/WOODALLs show up in the 1880 AL census, but haven't found them on previous AL censuses, so I can only surmise that they may not have been from that area. Perhaps somewhere east of AL, maybe????
Thanks, Bea Dorsett bdorsett801@msn.com
