glad more people keep getting the word out! Yes, I'm glad my mom (CDMom) has joined us too. June's OK I guess, but I haven't seen her since Christmas. Feel like I've been housebound &/or bedridden since then LOL. Have managed to get out a few times to grocery shop or bring kids to functions though.

Marge, I believe that is the case...but I have a US Artillery Hospital Corps, USA, then shows this was connected to some injury in KY. I have a number associated with that stay which is barely legible. I also found that John Jacob TRIER was 'mustered' into the Army (Infantry) in Belmont, WI which I believe was in LaFayette County. What I thought was important was the Pension # which began with a 'C'..that is what they told me over at our FHC. They said to check both Infantry & Artillery on the form.

http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/ ~~~ There's 5 family trees there that include a Dunmore DAMERON. 2 of them show father as Michael & mother as Martha Frances 'Patsey' COX. Might want to check these 5 if you haven't seen yet! Just type in the surname & given name at that addy & click the GO button.... 2 show father as George & 1 as Dunmore... Maybe some of these trees will connect for you & you can get new email contacts too. Hope this helps and great to see posts from so many from the old gang again, huh? TTYS!

Need information on ,Wallace Ray McMILLEN b. 1913-1923, d. abt 1962, and who were his parents?
I got tthls note from a friend.
'How would I find out about my uncle's dad that I asked you about? I found out a little
more about him. He and his brother were put in an orphanage and his brother got adopted and he didn't. I think he
was in Akron, Ohio the summit county children's home around 1920 and 1940. Just a guess on the dates but I know he
would fall in between them years. His name was Wallace Ray McMillen. He was killed in a car wreck in Jackson
Mississippi we think in 1962. My Uncle was around seven when it happen.'

Jen, it is possible that your John Jacob TRIER served in both the Infantry and Artillery. If you have the identifying name/number of his unit(s) you should search carefully for any historical records of those units. The history and movements of many are well documented. Although you may NOT find his name there the information will give you some idea where he may have traveled.
