Spent this PM over at our FHC, think I have finally located John Jacob TRIER when he 'enlisted' in the Civil War in WI. I'm a bit confused because his records show that he was in the Infantry as well as the Artillery. It looks as though he may have been hospitalized in the Artillery & Hospital Corps. I believe this may have been in KY. I do have his Pension Number..which I believe is the number which starts with a 'C'. Hopefully this number will get information for me, because I don't know where else to look for this man!!

Have you tried out the genealogy.com site sponsored by A&E. Arts and Entertainment Television Station? They really have some good links there to help tear down brick walls. They have all the census records up that are viewable so that you can see who your ancestor's were living by. The search is so great that we are making great headway on several of our lines.
