ok... have a question for all of you. I have a family member, and I have found lots of different documentation on, but every one that I have found has a different place of birth. I have him born in KY, SC, and Germany... Now what do I do.... totaly confused.

Hi Ptrust!! Sounds as though you are going through some of the problems which I am. I have a GrtGrandfather who seems to have been born in several places. I have tried the FHC to no avail. So far, I have done the best with County Lists. I write & ask if they have a John Jacob TRIER..say in Buffalo, NY (that's on the Erie Co. List). Have gotten some answers. Also have him in PA..thnk it's Lancaster..but then he jumps around to WI & IA. Isn't genealogy fun??? Belly Wash gave me some hints & I'm still looking through some of his things. Could be a connection, one never knows!!

Thanks for the info on the 1930 census. Donna had provided that earlier, which is why I was interested in Turner Lee Cheek's whereabouts when the 1920 was taken. Someone on another site attempted to open it and said it looked as if alot of names in the household were struck through. They also commented that the household appeared to be a hotel or something similar. I think Ella Robbins Cheek ran a boarding home when she married Thomas Lee Cheek (Turner's father). If anyone has luck opening it later, I would sure appreciate the information. And yes, I saw the post by Tina, and replied. If she doesn't appear here soon, I will shoot her off an email. Everyone have a wonderful Easter!

Back up and check that these multiple listings of birth are for the same individual and acertain who submitted the info. You are both good genealogists.

I keep looking, that is why I have so many different dates..LOL.. I have woundered if they are the same people, but they keep showing up with the same families. A few of the records that I have are all pension records that have the kids with 5 or 6 different birthdates. Makes it even more different to search.
