I am researching names ROCHA & MEDEIROS, in HAWAII. Origianally fr/t AZORES (Ribeira Grande, Sao Miguel). One of my father's sisters settled in Oakland, CA and married a 'SCALES'. So, I am looking for them as well. Looking for City Directories or telephone books, Hawaii (Oahu, Kauai)

Just wondering if anyone may happen to know anything about a servant's status surrounding census taking, such as age, supposed race, etc. bdorsett801@msn.com

The status depends on which census. The further back you go the less they will be listed the closer to now the more.
