Looking for info on Simpson family in 1920 or 1910 Arkansas census. I find Oscar Cleveland Simpson & wife Mary Francis Norman, ( both born in Ill ) in 1930 AK census. Their children ( 4 ) were all born in AK before one 'Dorston' I am working on was born in Poinsett, Fisher Twp, 10 May 1920. I have his birth certificate, and wonder why I can't find the family. They also lived in Mississippi Co AK. Anyone have any idea's. Could they just have been missed? Seems like a whole family was a lot to miss. Thanks.

ENGLAND. DEATH NOTICES IN YORKSHIRE NEWSPAPERS.
Index to Death Notices in a selection of Yorkshire newspapers.
The index lists the name of the deceased, date of death, age,
Place, and Newspaper Code. I have started with newspapers
published in the first three months of 1901. This will list
people who died just before the 1901 census. This is an open-
ended project that will continue, slowly, over the coming years.

AMERICAN REVOLUTION. LOYALISTS. On-Line Institute for Advanced
Loyalist Studies is for anyone trying to find information on a
loyalist. 'For our purposes, we define a Loyalist as any
inhabitant of North America, from Newfoundland to Nicaragua
inclusive, plus the islands of the West Indies, Bermuda and
Jamaica, who served in a military capacity for the British, or
provided services of a military nature or other beneficial
services to the Crown. This definition includes those who fought
in the war and remained in America afterward, those who deserted,
those who settled outside of America afterward, and those who
were discharged or died during the war. There were, of course,
Loyalist Civilians, in numbers probably greater than the
military, but the material contained within is geared
predominately towards the military. We cover some items that are
tangents of the military, such as the theater, church records,
and women's studies. A special section is devoted to the role of
Black Loyalists. While we have not specifically covered Native
Americans as a group, we do have material concerning the Indian
Department, which was, generally speaking, those Americans and
Europeans who led and served alongside them. We also delve into
the British Regiments insofar as they relate to Loyalists.' This
searchable site has regiments, muster rolls, back issues of its
occasional electronic newsletter 'Loyalist Notes,' and more.

There is much to be learned in a cemetary, especially if your ancestors have grave rocks: Birth, death, & sometimes marriage dates may be there...
Sometimes you find the names of a spouse, children or parents on the rock or buried beside them or nearby.... Always take note of graves around your target ancestor.... Decorations (religious or lodge)or quotes on the rock may give you a lead for further research.... It's always insightful to just stand and ponder the life and times of that particular ancestor, frequently results in ideas for additional research....
